Everything you need to know about the biggest month of sport in Mackay
FEBRUARY is definitely shaping up to be one of the biggest months of football for Mackay.
And beyond NRL and AFL games to netball clinics and Mackay's annual Sports Expo, there is something for every sports fan this month.
Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming games and events:
All Stars v Cutters
The Mackay Cutters have their first hit-out of the season against the Men of League All Stars who are defending their title.
When: Saturday, February 4
Time: Gates open from 3.30pm, U18s play at 4pm, U20s at 5.30 and the Cutters v All Stars at 7.30pm
Where: BB Print Stadium, Casey Ave
Cost: Entry is $5 with proceeds going towards the Men of League Foundation
T20 Cricket finals
The top three teams in the Daily Mercury T20 Shootout competition will battle it out this weekend for a chance at the trophy.
Souths is already through to Saturday's grand final after finishing the preliminary rounds on top, leaving Walkerston and Norths to battle it out for the right to chase down the Southern men.
When: Norths v Walkerston, Friday, February 2 from 6.30pm.
Souths v the winner - Saturday, Friday 4 from 6pm

Cowboys v Roosters
The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys will play Sydney Roosters in a pre-season trial match.
In a curtain raiser to the main game, the QCCS Mackay Cutters will take on the Cowboys' under-20s side that is to compete in the 2017 National Youth Competition.
When: Saturday, February 11
Time: 4.45pm - QCCS Mackay Cutters v NYC Cowboys; 7pm - Cowboys v Roosters. Buses will be departing from the MECC at 3.45pm and will return after the game, this is included in your ticket price.

Queensland Firebirds clinic
Learn from Queensland Firebird Romelda Aiken as she hosts a netball clinic in Mackay.

Time: 5.30-6.30pm

Sports Expo and Sign-on Day 2017
The annul Sports Expo and Sign-on Day aims to increase participation in sporting, active recreation or active leisure pursuits.
Sporting organisations, teams and active leisure groups are in the one place to provide a 'one stop information shop' for everyone in the Mackay region to get involved in the vast array of active opportunities on offer in the region.

Fox League On Tour
Rub shoulders with some of the NRL greats as former Broncos captain Justin Hodges joins Fox Sports for their tour this season. As well as taking on the role of assistant coach for the Brisbane under-20s, Hodges will link up with Gorden Tallis, Yvonne Sampson and former teammate Corey Parker to boost Fox Sports' line-up as they launch their new 24/7 rugby league channel.

THE 2017 JLT Community Series hits Mackay with a pre-season clash between the Gold Coast Suns and Essendon Bombers.
