Ethan's first acting gig

THE Toowoomba production of Lost in Yonkers may be 13-year-old Ethan Mesken's first acting gig, but it will certainly not be his last.

He will be taking on the role of one of two brothers who move in with their mean grandmother and crazy aunt while their dad is away looking for work.

Ethan, who has always participated in all of his school plays, said acting was what he had wanted to do ever since he was little.

"As it's (the opening night) getting closer I'm getting really excited," he said.

Lost in Yonkers will be playing at the Toowoomba Repertory Theatre for two weeks with opening night tomorrow Friday and a gala event on Saturday, which will include supper, chocolates, champagne and roses on arrival.
