Emma Freedman wins Dancing With The Stars

EMMA Freedman is a winner in more ways than one after being crowned Dancing With The Stars' 2015 champion.

The TV and radio presenter beat runner-up Matthew Mitcham and third-placed Ash Pollard in the ballroom dancing competition thanks to the combined results of her judges' scores and the public vote.

The judges agreed Freedman hadn't stepped a foot wrong over the past two months.

"You are the best contestant we've ever had, without a doubt, on this show," Todd McKennney said.

"We've seen more than 100 competitors come through."

Even Olympic diver Mitcham said he was happy to finish second to "flawless" Freedman, noting there hadn't been a female DWTS winner since 2007.

"It feels great but… oh God now I'm speechless," Freedman said.

Her efforts on the dance floor have also raised funds for the Captain Courageous Foundation, which supports research into bone marrow failure disease.

The mirror-ball Monday grand final also featured freestyle routines by Freedman and Mitcham as well as performances by McKenney and Simply Red.
