Emergency services respond to mercury spill: reports

BREAKING: Emergency services are responding to reports of a mercury spill at a suburban home in Toowoomba.

Initial reports suggest the potentially deadly substance has leaked from a battery box of an old medical instrument.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are en route to the incident in Centenary Heights.
