Elderly woman freed from car crash near Toowoomba

UPDATE: An elderly woman has been freed from her vehicle after a two vehicle crash north of Toowoomba.

The woman was the only occupant of either vehicle trapped in the incident, which occurred on the intersection of Old Goombungee and Gowrie-Birnam Rds in Gowrie Junction.

Ambulance crews were finished at the scene just before 9am.

No one required transportation to hospital.

EARLIER: Emergency crews are trying to free an elderly woman trapped in her car following a two-vehicle crash north of Toowoomba.

The incident was reported about 8.20am on the intersection of Old Goombungee and Gowrie-Birnam Rds in Gowrie Junction.

Police, fire and ambulance services have responded to the incident and are trying to free the woman.

All other passengers were able to pull themselves out of the crash.
