EDUCATION Week put a skip in the step of a dedicated group of Wyrallah Road Public School students.

The boys and girls of the Wyrallah Road Public School All Stars Skipping Team got the jump on Education Week, practising for months at lunchtime, recess and at home in the lead up to the concert on Wednesday.

Student pushed the boundaries of the regular lunch time skipping routine with handstands, round-offs and some sharp choreography. 11-year-old Coby Salter-Strong even perfected his own brand of bottom jumping.

The school joined others throughout the state in a celebration of Education Week, with the aim to showcase their stories by documenting their proudest moments to the broader community.

According to Wyrallah Road Public School principal Gareth Hockings 'skipping is very big' at the school.

Their joy for the jump rope was propelled by the school's participation in Jump Rope For Heart programs.

Teacher Jennifer Beers coached and choreographed the action-packed 10 minute routine, performed faultlessly on the night.
