Easy to go bald testing a shaver

WHEN you don't have a lot of hair to start with, it can be dangerous agreeing to review an all purpose shaver.

Especially when it comes with so many attachments.

Braun's Styling Range, which retails for $119, is a nine in 1 multi-grooming kit which includes two beard trimmers with as many as 39 precision length settings.

It means you can trim or eliminate hair from the face, head, body, nose and ears including in the shower.

We put it to the ultimate test, using it for a complete head shave. It was pretty impressive.

The kit comes with a decent Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor, as well as two trimming combs and extra small attachment to define lines and shapes.

Braun is well known for its German craftsmanship, so the product is certainly better than the cheaper varieties we have used in the past.

For those with beards, there is precision comb for short beards (1-10mm) with 0.5mm steps for more exact results.

An additional long beard comb (11 -20mm) with 2mm steps enables men to easily maintain a longer beard style.

Braun says the stainless steel blades are stamped, shaped and polished for maximum evenness and sharpness. The seamless movement between the cutting elements are describes as 'just like scissors'.

The battery takes about 60 minutes to charge and offers a decent 60 minutes of use.
