Driver's back end goes missing

A TRUCK and trailer have parted ways in the early afternoon leaving witnesses aghast and traffic piled up.

A heavy vehicle and trailer ran into some issues at Sydenham, Sydney, after the back axle came away from the combination.

NSW traffic and Highway Patrol have confirmed recovery of load underway, however diversions in place until recovery is complete.

"Trucks seems to be missing something, I keep going "round and round" thinking about it but can't put my finger on it!!," one of the comments read.

Another reader was devastated to hear about the split.

"The trailer and wheels came to me last week with some relationship issues," Jennifer McCartney said.

"I knew they were close to a break up but thought we could have worked through it. I'm sorry to here (sic) they have gone their seperate (sic) ways."
