Drivers annoyed at truck wash closure

TRUCKIES are spewing over the fact a popular truck wash at Warwick has closed.

The local council said the truck wash was closed due to extreme weather restrictions but that excuse didn't sit well with drivers.

Raymond Fuller said drivers were being reduced to "third world status” due to the "horrendous drought causing acute water shortages”.

He wondered how much innovation it would take to recycle the used wash water.

Lachy MacDonald reckoned it was the "best wash around” and asked why they couldn't reticulate the wash water like at ACC Cannon Hill.

"Not as nice but better than nothing.”

Diana Randel pointed out that for some drivers a wash was a necessity as livestock carriers were required to wash down after each load.

"It's called biosecurity and is a fineable offence.”
