Driver unharmed as B-double slides off highway

A MAN in his 60s was left shaken but unharmed after the B-double he was driving jack-knifed on the Dawson Highway yesterday morning.

The single vehicle accident was believed to have occurred on the way to Biloela, near the turn off to Prospect Creek on Prospect Creek Goovigen Rd.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed the accident happened around 8am. No transport to hospital was required.

The accident blocked the highway in both directions for several hours.

A spokesman from Queensland Police said crews had removed the truck from the road by about 11am.

A PERSON has been taken to hospital after falling off their motorcycle in Taroom on Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to Cracow Rd address at around 11:47am Sunday to assess the reportedly male patient.

They were taken to Taroom Hospital via ambulance in a stable condition.

Queensland Ambulance service said the patient had reportedly suffered a hip injury hours prior to paramedics arriving.
