Driver injured after crash off Beryl Bridge

A TRUCKIE driving a truck carrying cattle on the Beryl Bridge was injured in a crash just north west of Gulgong on the Castlereagh Highway in New South Wales.

Fire and Rescue NSW crews rendered first aid to the injured driver prior to the attendance of the NSW Ambulance.

It was not known what his injures were.

The Fire and Rescue crews worked through the night to contain a major diesel leak from ruptured fuel tanks on the prime mover.

The crash happened on Wednesday night and the Castlereagh Highway was closed until around 4pm on Thursday, reported The Wellington Times.
