JUNIOR rev heads took full advantage of an open day at the weekend to hone their skills around the famous Willowbank track.

The quarterly run event hosted about 50 junior dirt bike riders who took advantage of the perfect weather to spend four hours showing off their riding skills.

Organiser Dwayne Rew said the morning was an outstanding success and the club gained six new members.

He said riders were limited to bikes between 50cc and 150cc.

"It was a great day - a lot of kids went home with big smiles on their faces," he said.

"We run four open days each year and the kids always look forward to them.

"They really love getting out and about on the track."
