Diehards aim to return to TRL top two
Dalby v Goondiwindi
THE Diehards will be determined to force their way back into the Hutchinson Builders TRL Premiership top two after dropping out for the first time this season.
Dalby had a tremendous start to the season but have suffered four losses from its past five games.
The Diehards will be keen to run themselves into some form ahead of the finals when they host last-placed Goondiwindi at Dalby on Saturday night.
A big win could given them a points differential boost big enough to push back into the top two.
Highfields v Wattles
HIGHFIELDS will be keen to play itself into some form ahead of the finals but the stakes will be much higher for Wattles when the two teams meet at Kuhls Rd Recreation Ground on Sunday.
The Eagles are assured a spot in the top six and look unlikely to force their way into the top two, so preparing for sudden-death finals will be the focus for Highfields.
Wattles, on the other hand, are playing for their spot in the finals as they are tied for fifth with two teams just one win behind them.
This game looms as must-win for the Warriors if they are to feature in the finals.
Oakey v Brothers
THEY may both be out of the finals running but there could be plenty of pride on the line in Sunday's battle between Oakey and Brothers.
Oakey faces Brothers and Goondiwindi in the final two rounds, so the Bears have a chance to post rare back-to-back wins against other teams outside the finals race.
That could start when the Bears host Brothers at Oakey on Sunday.
Oakey is just one win behind ninth-placed Brothers on the ladder so final finishing positions and the recipient of the wooden spoon will be decided in the last two rounds.
Valleys v Warwick
WARWICK will be out to upset the form team of the competition as the Cowboys cling to hopes of making the finals.
Ladder leader Valleys hosts Warwick at Herb Steinohrt Oval on Sunday and it is a crucial game for the Cowboys as they sit two points out of the top six with two rounds left.
