DEAN McDermott revealed he had sex with his wife Tori Spelling "once every two weeks" and suggested their lack of intimacy drove him to have an affair.

The 47-year-old star revealed he had sex with his wife "once every two weeks" and suggests their lack of intimacy drove him to have an affair with 28-year-old actress Emily Goodhand,last December to "escape" the difficulties in their eight year marriage.

In a clip of the pair at a counselling session from their new reality show 'True Tori', Dean revealed: "We have four kids, so in the sex department there were ebbs and flows. We would have sex once every two weeks. I'm insatiable. Sex was an escape, just like drugs and alcohol."

Despite Tori's admission that she could "never give him enough sex" the counsellor told Dean his sexual expectations were unrealistic.

He was told: "Dean, your expectation of what a marriage is supposed to be like sexually - it's like a fairytale."

Meanwhile, Dean - Liam, seven, Stella, five, Hattie, two, and Finn, 20 months, with Tori, and another son, Jack, from his first marriage - showed remorse for his infidelities, explaining that he had no real feelings for his 'Chopped' co-star and never envisioned himself cheating on Tori.

He added: "I wasn't attracted to her; it was just like a warm body, my worst nightmare is what I did, absolutely, I cheated on my wife. That's my worst nightmare."
