David Rodan crowned 2014 Dancing With The Stars winner

FOOTY player David Rodan won Dancing With the Stars with his fancy footwork.

The retired AFL player beat out finalists Ricki-Lee Coulter and Lynne McGranger for the mirror-ball trophy after 10 weeks of intense ballroom dance training and competition.

Judge Todd McKenney praised Rodan for being a blokey footy player willing to embrace his inner dancer and shake his hips to Latin beats.

The 31-year-old is the second ever AFL player to win the show after Anthony Koutoufides' victory in 2006.

His dance floor domination comes hot on the heels of his flawless contemporary and high-energy Bollywood routines, which earned Rodan two perfect scores last week.

Semi-finalist Tai Hara predicted Rodan's win last week, telling APN he had been the most consistent dancer throughout the series.

"He's by far the best in terms of the entire series," Hara said.

"Anything he's been given he's absolutely smashed it."
