Dalby Devils multi-draw auction night
THE Dalby Devils junior rugby league Inaugural Gala dinner will be on this Saturday from 6pm.
The club will be holding a multi-draw raffle auction on the night.
Come and pick the brains of guest speakers Colin Scott who played first fullback to represent QLD in State of Origin and Robbie O’Davis who stared in QLD’s State of Origin series win in 1995.
Fundraising co-ordinator Kylie Sankey said the night would be an opportunity for the club to fundraise in support of its local team.
“We have one each year and this years ambassador is Chloe Smith, who has family members playing in the club,” she said.
“The club captain Connor Brady will also assist Chloe with fundraising but she will mainly be in charge of raising funds for the club by attending home games, selling raffle tickets and merchandise.”
Ms Sankey said the club has been very lucky with local business houses who have supported with the multi-draw by donating the items, which will be a big part of the night.
Tickets need to be pre-purchased before the night. Tickets cost $50 and are available from the Dalby Leagues Club or Ray White Dalby.
The cut of date for purchase is this Wednesday, with late entries on Thursday at the latest.
Items up for auction are a 2016 signed Brisbane Broncos jersey, NQ Cowboys ball signed by reining premiership team, autographed Andrew McCullough boots, statesmen of origin signed and framed commemorative image and an 100 games of origin signed and framed jersey.
Those unable to attend on the night can also bid for any item by contacting Kylie Sankey on 0400 549 617.
