ROMA'S business advocacy group Commerce Roma held it's annual general meeting on Wednesday afternoon, electing a new executive team and committee for the year ahead.

Members, council delegates and interested parties were all in attendance, and were welcomed in discussions.

The 2019 Commerce Roma executive team includes:

President - Cyril Peet

Vice president - Duncan Rogers

Treasurer - Kate Donovan

Secretary - Jeanie Fordham

Committee - Ann Summers, Charlie Eames, Camille Johnson and Chelsea Schefe

Having also nominated for president, Steve Merrick said he appreciated those who supported him.

"I want to congratulate Cyril on his appointment, and thank those who voted for me at the meeting," he said.

With the committee in place for next year, Mr Peet said there is much work to be done.

"We have an exciting and busy year, and have gotten started on some projects already," he said.
