Current spend on airport expansion revealed
THE cost of the Expression of Interest Process for the Whitsunday Coast Airport and planning for international flights were revealed by Council yesterday.
The total cost thus far has been $2,323,398.
Advertising, promotion and community consultation cost $36,140, the audit cost $14,752, consultation fees for scope and construction were $16,581, consultant fees for the EOI were $1,282,875, the design cost $22,095, economic development costs were $4900, valuation costs were $22,500, travel and accommodation costs were $18,639, salaries and vehicle costs were $168,670, international flights cost $175,538 and the reimbursable costs for the EOI were $363,000.
