CULLY Fest, one of Australia's most unique festivals that celebrates Aboriginal and outback culture, is back this weekend in Toowoomba.

With more than 60 live performances and 600-plus workshop sessions running across three huge days, the Toowoomba Showgrounds will be transformed into a creative paradise.

The festival's musical line-up is sensational this year, as rock legends Killing Heidi, folk duo Pierce Brothers and blues powerhouse Dezzie D all hit the stage.

Killing Heidi member Ella Hooper said the band's performance at Cully Fest could be its last ever, they wrap up their reunion tour.

"It simply felt right to get back on tour after being asked a million times,” Ms Hooper said.

"This tour was about celebrating, remembering and commemorating how fun it was.

"This could be our last stop and possibly the end of Killing Heidi, so now is the time to catch the reunion tour.”

Ms Hooper said the diversity of Cully Fest was its main attraction.

"We do all kinds of festivals but we are looking for something that is a bit unusual to reach an audience we are yet to reach.

"When the Cully Fest offer came through, we thought it was an awesome idea and a beautiful concert with culturally inclusive and educational aspects, which is what we are all about.

"I'm really looking forward the numerous workshops. You can catch me doing some yoga or eating some bush tucker.”

Outside of the talent rich musicians, Cully Fest will also feature the incredible stories of the people, places and culture of this country.

Cully Fest will be held at the Toowoomba Showgrounds from Friday until Sunday.
