Cuddly friends join in on the fun

THE Mundubbera Show is just a week away and will have every activity to keep your family out and about at the showgrounds.

From Viv's Animal Farm, Local Hack and Rider classes, Woodchopping, Nickleby the magician, Ute Muster, Tongan singing and dancing, Recycled Wearable Art Show, Rodeo and the Fireworks; everyone will be having a great time.

Vivienne White from Viv's Animal Farm said she'll be entertaining the crowds at the show.

"I'll be bringing 2 alpacas to play with, 20 lambs, 20 goats, 6 guinea pigs, 20 chickens, 6 ducks and a pig,” Ms White said.

"There will also be a miniature goat display with live creatures and I'll be talking to people and giving them information.”

Bottle feeding will commence on Friday night at 5:30pm and again on Saturday morning at 9am.

Ms White said it's not just children who will benefit from seeing the animals but also the adults.

"Everyone will be able to brush and hold them,” she said.

"I've been doing this for the past 18 years and I absolutely love it.”

Ms White grew up in the South Burnett region and is currently residing in Proston.

"I breed all my animals on my property in Proston,” she said.

"When travelling to any shows I arrive in a 12 metre coach along with my animals.”

For those unsure whether or not to check out Viv's Animals Farm, Ms White said it's an experience you won't forget.

"They're the quietest, friendliest animals all around,” she said.

"Children may even pick up the animals if they'd like.

"The bottle feeding is a lot of fun and will be a great way for people to get to know farm animals.”

The Mundubbera Show will have side show alley which is opened all day on Saturday May 12.

The committee would like to thank all who have sponsored the 2018 Mundubbera Show.
