Crows Nest man injured in fall 'critical but stable'

AN ELDERLY Crows Nest man who fell 6m down a cliff while working on his property continues his fight for life after the tragic incident.

The man, 75, remains in an induced coma in intensive care at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a critical but stable condition.

The man was found by his wife in a dry gully on rocks where he fell while jack-hammering rocks on his property on Church Rd Monday morning.

He was found about 9.55am by his wife when he failed to return to the home.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services technical rescue crews helped rescue the man who was taken by ambulance to a nearby cricket field from where he was airlifted to Brisbane.

The man suffered critical head and chest injuries in the fall.
