TOMORROW night Ipswich rugby league players will get a chance to test their mettle against former Queensland State of Origin star Chris Walker.

The brother of Ipswich Jets co-coaches, Ben and Shane Walker, will strap on the boots against West End and Goodna for his new 'Walkers On' segment of the Footy Show.

He will play 10 minutes for each A-grade side in their final trial game before the start of the IRL season next Saturday.

West End A-grade coach Randall Wilson said Walker would be thrown into the thick of it when he joins the Bulldogs senior players against Goodna.

"I think it's going to be a good bit of fun," he said.

"Maybe we will chuck him into the front row and stir him up a little."

While the television filming is sure to add an extra element to the trial, Wilson said he was looking forward to the side's last pre-season match.

"It will be the first time we've had a full strength side on the field," he said.

"We have one player out on holidays but other than that this will be our best side. It should be good."

Before the A-grade match between West End and Goodna at 7pm, the reserve grade West End squad will play a trial match against Swifts from 5.30pm.

The games will be played at the West End field at Basin Pocket.
