COOL TRUCK: Yummiest truck you'll ever see

WHAT'S the best kind of truck? A Kenworth, Mack or even a Volvo?

Nah, we reckon it's one you can eat - like this one.

Creative cake maker Stacey from Lil Lady Cakes by Stacey from Maitland, New South Wales, made this yummy treat for a customer who wanted to surprise her husband, Steve Lawler, who used to drive this truck for his father's business Tom Lawler Transport.

"I love the truck, it has a retro feel to it," Stacey Rapana said.

Stacey, a stay-at-home mum of three, who has been decorating cakes for five years, said this was her first attempt at making a 3D truck cake and apparently Steve loved it so much he didn't want to cut it up.

"This cake took, all up, around eight to 10 hours over the day," Stacey said.

"I would work a little, step back, go away, come back. Work on it again. It was a massive learning experience for me - I haven't made a truck cake before.

"This cake really pushed me creatively and I've loved the whole process."

Stacey said she loved making cakes as it was her relaxation time. Because she works at home and around her family, at times, she's busy, but said "seeing the reactions of the customers, especially the kids, makes all that hard work worthwhile".
