Conference to inspire South Burnett women

GRAB your friends and head along to Kingaroy's Inspire Women's conference.

The Christian Women's Conference will be held on Saturday September 15 and feature guest speaker and author Elissa Macpherson.

Sistas in Sync secretary Lynda Lange said this would be the fifth Inspire conference, which is held every two years.

Ms Macpherson is well known for her book called, Beautiful, and runs a winery with her husband near Stanthorpe, Ms Lange said.

"She's very dynamic, funny, larger than life, and has a heart for injustice,” Ms Lange said.

Ms Macpherson has more than 15 years of experience in women's ministry, speaking at both local and global events.

She is a wife, mother, speaker, author, coffee-lover, lover of sequins and a hater of injustice.

The conference will also include stories from South Burnett women, and music items to break up the sessions.

Previously, the Inspire conferences have been challenging and provided women with encouragement.

Sistas in Sync, which proudly supports the event, was started after one of the Inspire conferences.

The conference will run from 9am to 4pm at the Kingaroy St John's school hall.

The cost of $30 covers a morning tea and lunch on the day.

Participants are encouraged to RSVP by Thursday September 13 for catering purposes.
