Community responds after Christmas present robbery

A FUNDRAISING page has been set up for a Harristown family that were robbed of their Christmas presents.

The smash-and-grab robbery, which occurred on Saturday, left the Mogg and O'Sullivan family with little under the Christmas tree.

Mother Melissa Mogg spoke to The Chronicle about her heartbreak when she heard the news from her two young daughters.

For those looking to donate, the GoFundMe page can be found here.

Toowoomba Senior Sergeant Greg Wheeler said it was disappointing that people would steal Christmas presents.

"I urge anyone who has any information in relation to this incident to contact police and urge residents to remain vigilant this holiday season, keeping an eye not only on their property but their neighbours too."
