Coast's bachelorette Lisa is back looking for love

AFTER missing out on the final rose from Bachelor "love rat" Blake Garvey, it's Lisa Hyde who will be handing out roses on Bachelor in Paradise.

Coast hearts went out to Hyde after Garvey chose Sam Frost over her in the 2014 Bachelor season finale.

But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Frost was soon left heartbroken when Garvey left her for second runner-up Louise Pillidge.

The Coolum beauty, who has moved to Sydney to build her fashion business, is one of 18 past Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants giving reality TV dating another go on Channel 10's new spin-off series.

"I have so many great memories from The Bachelor and I don't regret a thing," she said.

"I've been working on my business; I've got lots of great friends in Sydney and done a lot of travel as well.

"I feel like I'm a bit worldlier, a bit more knowledgeable, so coming into this I'm probably more aware of who I am as a person than I was on The Bachelor.

"Going into a show like this I feel like there are things I've got to take out of this that I can really grow and learn about as well.

"I'm happy about that, it is just self-growth and it happens every single day."

Filmed in Fiji, Bachelor in Paradise features some of the franchise's biggest personalities all ready to mingle while staying at the same tropical resort.

The singles will get to know each other and go on dates.

The gender balance will continue to shift as new cast members are introduced daily before rose ceremonies where the singles need to pair up or risk being sent home.

"I don't think that anyone is owned by anyone so even if I'd previously met a guy that I'd been chatting with and he ends up liking another girl then I think that is absolutely fine," Hyde said.

"Everyone is here for themselves and it is not really about trying to own anyone on the island." Bachelor in Paradise premieres on Sunday at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
