Coalition supporters anxious about polls
SPARE me days, going by the letters to the QT recently, the redneck right must really be worried by all the dodgy polls showing both major parties neck and neck for the federal election.
They keep dragging out the same old furphies like the carbon price affecting power bills.
It's been gone for years now and I haven't seen any massive reductions in power bills due to it being removed.
They conveniently ignore the affect the GFC had on the federal deficit, it was the original cause of the deficit. Those losses still haven't been made up.
After three years in power it has actually increased even though they said they were going to bring it down.
Then there is the supposed stopping of the boats. The only thing that was stopped was telling the general public what was happening.
This massive influx of boat people was supposedly costing untold millions, and was contributing to the growing deficit. Well if the boats have been stopped where is the reduction in the deficit?
All we get is this nonsense about what the other mob did or didn't do and how it was being undone, but never anything about that has actually been achieved to improve anything.
