City's finest sports people share a night to remember

THE Ipswich sporting community has again shone at the awards dinner for the 2018 Ipswich Sports Awards.

The North Ipswich Reserve Corporate Centre was packed with over 200 of Ipswich's finest athletes, coaches, volunteers and clubs.

To anyone who missed today's QT or online announcements, the award winners were:

Official of the Year: Aaron Gotting (hockey);

Volunteer of the Year: Darryl Kitching (football);

Aussie Home Loans Coach of the Year: Peter Reeves (running);

Masters Sportsperson of the Year: Steven Graham (weightlifting);

Sporting Organisation of the Year: Ipswich and West Moreton BMX Club;

University of Southern Queensland Team of the Year: Goodna Sapphires (netball);

City of Ipswich Junior Sportsperson of the Year: Tamzin Christoffel (taekwondo);

Queensland Times Senior Sportsperson of the Year: Deanna Lockett (short track speed skating).
