Musical five years in the making hits the stage
AFTER five years in the making, The Chrysalides Musical finally hit the Gladstone Entertainment and Convention Centre stage on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The all-local, original musical set at ENNY High School explored the lives of the students, teachers and the new headmaster.
Writer Mike Lunan was pleased to see the end result.
"It's a little bit of magic happening in Gladstone. The performers are really enjoying that it's been well received by the audience," Mr Lunan said.
The cast was made up of local youth and adults, all with a passion to sing, dance and act.
Phillip Chan attended the first show and said it was definitely worth seeing.
"It's very enjoyable ... especially seeing it's been five years in the making. It's a really good show," Mr Chan said.
