I REFER to Jane Douglas's letter in the QT over the weekend, regarding my plans as we approach the next election. I can emphatically state that my plan is to continue to fight for the people of Ipswich West as their strong voice in government.

It is no surprise to me that Labor and certain unions are trying to run a campaign of fear in relation to the government.

The fact is Jane; the LNP Government has a strong plan for the future. We have a plan to pay back Labor's $80 billion debt and I have a plan to build roads, increase police resources and provide better health and education resources in Ipswich West.

Unlike the Labor Party, I plan to stand on my record of delivering for this great community.

A record that includes delivering the Blacksoil Interchange, making the intersection at Pine and Delacy Sts safer, tackling school maintenance backlogs with $300 million in funding, delivering flashing school lights, an 18% funding increase for Queensland Health and bringing the railway back to Ipswich with 500 new construction jobs at Wulkuraka and 150 ongoing.

Not to mention supporting local community groups and investing in them.

I hope this has clarified my intention, that at the next election I'll present my strong local plan which will be in stark contrast to the Labor Party, which has no plan for the local community and no plan other than higher taxes to bring the budget back under control.
