Check your flight plans as airport staff go on strike

THE Fraser Coast Regional Council is encouraging people who have booked flights to Brisbane and Sydney from Hervey Bay this week to contact their airlines for delays over the next two weeks.

International airports across Australia, including Brisbane and Sydney, have scheduled strikes which are expected to end Friday April 1.

The strikes have been organised by members of the Community and Public Sector Union including workers with the department of immigration and border protection, those in the Australian border force.
