Chaos in the outback

SET in the sunburnt Australian outback, a mythical creature comes to life with one thing on its mind - to terrorise the bush and billabong.

Cattle are being slaughtered, people are mysteriously going missing and the glowing red eyes of a dangerous beast are watching.

Returning to their late grandfather's home to determine what to do with the property, this movie features brothers Nick (Dan Ewing) and Tristen (Tim Pocock) and their friends caught up in the middle of the mayhem.

The story is reminiscent of a 'cabin in the woods' style horror where a group of friends begin a drug and alcohol fuelled shindig but a creature lurking in the shadows has other ideas.

It is soon discovered the creature's mythology is linked to the Dreamtime, turning the focus of the film to the historical aboriginal stories.

Surprisingly, as the movie progresses it becomes less of a scream- inducing horror, and more closely resembles a fun adventure film with a monster in it.
