IT was a packed house last night for the annual Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) AGM and monthly meet and greet.

Hosted by Bill Hull Car Centre, South Burnett small business owners were treated to a series of presentations as well as the opportunity to cast their vote in the annual general meeting.

Chaired by South Burnett Regional Council mayor, Keith Campbell, all the previous year's executive team were re-elected unopposed.

KCCI President, Rob Fitz-Herbert was proud to lead the executive committee into 2019 and was excited for the growth over the next 12 months.

"Over the last three years, attendances have grown over 300 per cent,” he said.

"Our membership has grown 10 per cent on last year.

"We want to continue to bring information and value to our business community.”

Brett Irwin from Ollies Mowers remains in the vice president role and hard working treasurer/secretary Paula Greenwood is ready for another exciting year.

Additionally, the executive committee have added two new members in Carolyn Stone and Damien Martoo.

James Eckart from Cyonic has stepped down from his role on the committee for 2019.

The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce has been a strong supporter and advocate of many significant South Burnett events in 2018.

"We are proud to be working for our community and being the voice for our community,” Mr Fitz-Herbert said.

"We were a key supporter of Baconfest which was fantastic to have here this year.

"We maintain strong support for out agriculture sector.

"We recognise the industry is the backbone of our region.

"It has been a tough year for them with lots of ups and downs.”

KCCI played a leading role in rounding up business support during the recent BlazeAid visit.

"The important word there is collaboration,” Mr Fitz-Herbert said.

"We went into businesses and said 'we have got a problem here can we get some support'.

"Huge thanks to businesses like Westlink Petroleum and Andersson's Fruit Market for their contribution.”
