THE Hampton Food and Arts Festival has announced that celebrity chef Poh Ling Yeow will headline this year's event.

An accomplished artist, Poh is best known for her success in the 2009 season of MasterChef and now encourages Australian's to embrace a variety of flavours and cuisines through her cooking programs, Poh's Kitchen and Poh Lends a Hand.

Hampton Festival organiser Kerri Seccombe said Poh's involvement would add definite star factor to the event.

"We are very excited to welcome Poh to Hampton where she will deliver a series of live cooking sessions throughout the Festival, that will no doubt be popular."

To be held on Sunday, May 19, this year's festival will see regional restaurants, wineries and market retailers showcase the very best in regional produce and flavours.

In addition to live cooking demonstrations and gourmet produce, the event will also feature the popular Hampton Art Exhibition and a full day program of musical entertainment and children's activities.

Tickets available at the gate for $10 and children under 12 free.
