AFTER selling out their MECC show quicker than any others on their tour, the cast and crew of RocKwiz topped off their Mackay weekend with a cruise around the harbour.

Megaforce's Natasha Hardiman said it was a perfect North Queensland afternoon on the water.

"They said they fancied doing something while they were in town and looked up sunset cruises and found us," Ms Hardiman said.

"It was so great having them; they were all gorgeous ... so cool.

"I was a bit overwhelmed. I was chatting to (Aussie rocker and casual RocKwiz host) Tex Perkins most of the time and was starstruck," she laughed.

Ms Hardiman said the cast, including hosts Julia Zemiro and Brian Nankervis, enjoyed the afternoon of platters and a few drinks while taking in the sights.

"They enjoyed relaxing and getting out away from it all," she said. "The sunset was phenomenal (Sunday) night and they had the best seat."

The show at the MECC was hailed a success, with Mackay Mayor Greg Williamson even taking the stage as well as Voice contestant Brooke Schubert's uncle Bruce on the winning team.
