CDRL needs wheel help

An overload of goodwill and compassion from the general public has left CDRL secretary Pat Bailey in a spot of bother.

The CDRL put the call out last week for donations of clothing, bedding, towels, toys, shoes - anything that would help the people of Townsville get back on their feet

"We didn't expect this much," said Bailey.

"We're looking for help. The carport is full and I'm worried about rain coming in - there's even a brand new clothes dryer here."

She said people were still adding to the pile yesterday.

"I'm about to rent a truck myself and drive it down because these people need it now," she said.

If you have a truck and can help out, contact Pat Bailey on 0419 700 870
