CBD taxi rank to be expanded on Wood St
DUE to the after-hours demand for taxis at the Wood Street Taxi Rank, the area directly adjacent, in the central median, will also act as a taxi rank after loading zone operation times.
Mackay Taxis have indicated that this area will be operating as an additional taxi queue area given that the existing rank is fully occupied in peak times it stated in City Centre newsletter.
The loading zone near The Coffee Club will operate as normal.
Consultation with surrounding businesses is now complete.
These changes will be implemented shortly.
