Cattle truck rolls near Drillham

A B-double truck transporting stock cattle has rolled over near Bells Rd, Drillham.

The incident, which occurred at 11.30pm last night, has left the east lane of the Warrego Hwy closed until further notice.

Emergency services have attended the scene and are working to reopen the road.

According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, emergency services were called to the scene just before 1am, and on arrival the male occupant of the truck declined treatment or transport to hospital.

Witnesses have reported that a number of emergency services were on the scene, and that residents of the area are currently assisting to right the truck with machinery.

A number of cattle were both injured and killed in the incident, with several humanely destroyed at the scene.
