Cash cow now at $190K: Mackay local misses out on $60k
THE MACKAY region's tally of unclaimed cash has risen to $190,000 in recent times, after yet another resident missed a call from the Sunrise Cash Cow this week.
Hosts of the popular morning show, Sunrise, made a call to a Slade Point home owner on Wednesday, hoping to give-away $60,000.
But after three rings, no one picked up.
This comes after two Sarina Beach and Mt Pleasant residents missed out on a combined $130,000 the week prior, after failing to answer the phone to the Sunrise and Today Show hosts.
That makes a total of $190,000 missed cash in two weeks - ouch.
While some residents don't appear to be getting the hang of the competitions, one lucky Andergrove woman did manage to snag herself a generous $30,000 the same week.
To win the prize money, entrants of the Sunrise competition must answer their phone within three rings, while those entering with the Today Show must answer with 'I wake up with Today.'
