DELAYS were experienced on the M1 after a truck and car collided blocking two northbound lanes at Burleigh this afternoon.

The crash, which took place near Exit 80, shortly before 4pm involved a truck and as many as two cars.

Paramedics transport two patients to hospital with minor injuries.

Police said traffic was down to one lane northbound, near the scene of the crash, while officers waited for a tow truck to remove the heavy vehicle.

Authorities also rushed to clear another crash involving a car and a truck 500m north of the overpass bridge, northbound on the Pacific Motorway at Tweed Heads.

A NSW police source said no one had been seriously injured in the crash but one lane had been blocked in the incident.
