Carnivale makes a comeback after rain-soaked cancellation

A FESTIVAL of music, sports and food trucks is making a comeback after wet weather forced the inaugural event to be called off last year.

The Beach Carnivale will be held on May 5-6 at Cotton Tree, seven months after it was postponed.

Event People general manager Scott Hollow said the day twos would feature a fun, fast-paced atmosphere centred around food, sports and the beach.

It will include a range of sports such as volleyball, dodgeball, table tennis and darts.

Highlights include:

  • 20-plus food trucks
  • Beach bar open to teams, individuals, clubs, families and schools across Australia
  • Free live music
  • Free outdoor cinema
  • Amusement rides
