Car strikes power pole in Cannon Valley
INVESTIGATIONS are underway to determine the cause of a single vehicle crash in Cannon Valley last night.
At around 10pm, a 17-year-old woman travelling towards Cannonvale from Proserpine swerved to the left of the road near the Orchid Road and Shute Harbour Road intersection.
After entering the 70km zone, the car travelled off road for roughly 20 metres before hitting a power pole.
The woman was taken to Proserpine Hospital for treatment.
Police are waiting for blood analysis results to determine whether alcohol was a contributing factor.
