Motorists in hospital after two-vehicle crash flips car

UPDATE: Paramedics have taken injured motorists to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Steve Irwin Way in which a car flipped. 

Crews were called to the intersection of Steve Irwin Way and Beerburrum Rd after the crash was reported at 10.30am. 

Paramedics reported multiple motorists were injured in the crash, but the injuries were minor. 

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said a total of five people were taken to hospital, but some were family members supporting injured relatives. 

BREAKING: Emergency crews are rushing to the scene of a reported crash on the Steve Irwin Way.

Witnesses reported the crash just after 10.30am, near Beerburrum Rd at Beerburrum, as a rollover.

Motorists can expect short delays at the scene.

The crash is the second on Beerburrum Rd in five hours, after a driver smashed into a power pole and fled the scene.
