Can we now move onto the real local issues?
WINNING the Rheinmetall contract is doubly good news for Sunshine Coast residents.
The opportunities it will bring to Queensland are substantial.
Locally it may mean, after the requisite amount of bell ringing, dancing in the streets and celebrations have occurred, that our LNP MPs Wallace and O'Brien may find time to address some major local issues.
Issues such as federal funding for rail duplication.
Where it seems there is no funding in forward estimates before 2020.
I look forward to hearing that funding is now available.
