IT takes a lot of work to entertain children.

However after more than 30 years in the business, the Ipswich Little Theatre Society Daytime Theatre Troupe has kids' entertainment down pat.

Troupe actress Robyn Harm said bookings for the group's upcoming live show, Henrietta's Not So Helpful Day, were already filling up fast.

"We are encouraging local schools to book now and schedule it in for later in the term," she said.

"The ladies who started the Daytime Theatre Troupe were professional actresses who had children and couldn't perform at night any more but still wanted to act.

"All our plays are original and interactive.

"The kids absolutely love it."

Henrietta's Not So Helpful Day will be shown from August 18-28 at 10am and noon.

Ticket cost $8 per person.
