Butterfly Ball ready to raise for a cause

PRISTINE dress and a social attitude is all you need for next month's Butterfly Ball.

Hosted by the Zonta club of Dalby, the annual event will once again be raising money to assist patients who are in palliative care and their families.

Ball co-ordinator Linda Marsh said the club wanted to make patients and their families as comfortable as possible.

"Zonta has been providing assistance for the Dalby hospital for many years," she said.

"The aim is to give palliative care patients in the Dalby community and wider community, access to free retreat accommodation with their families in the final stages in their suffering."

This year, proceeds will go towards a new retreat in the Bunya Mountains, for patients and their families.

The event's dress code is black-tie. It will be held in a Myall St garden under a marquee on Friday, June 15.

Tickets will cost $150 per person, which will cover food and a selection of beverages.
