POPULAR truck spray painting business PJs Custom Paint and Panel are joining the mass move out in Rocklea ahead of tomorrow's expected flood peak in Brisbane.

Owner Steve Lemon said he wasn't taking the risk that flood waters may inundate the business again.

"Everyone's going," he told Big Rigs today.

Although business owners are not sure how much water will wash through their businesses they are not waiting to find out before they start to evacuate their livelihoods.

"It was five metres last flood and they're saying it will be half that this time, so about two metres," Mr Lemmon predicted.

"We can't take the risk we've got no insurance."

PJ's were insured before the 2011 flood, but the company did not pay out, so this time they are even unwiring all electrical items to save what they can.

Western Star trucks has also reportedly begun moving all their stock and office items out ahead of the flood.
