Business awards will launch on Tuesday

HIGH numbers of people have already registered for next week's Business Excellence Awards (BEA) launch, with many more expected before the event.

The annual launch will be held on Tuesday evening at Gallery 107, and will see businesses from across Dalby involved in the light-hearted event.

Chairperson of the Business Excellence Awards Tania Marshall said there has been high interest in the event this year, and it is shaping to be an enjoyable night.

"It's always an exciting event. We have really good numbers already,” Mrs Marshall said.

"The event is fun, it is a great networking event and it is a chance to meet new business people and get to know people on a social level.”

Last year, the BEA committee decided to change the format of the categories businesses can enter to win.

It was a change that Mrs Marshall said was successful and has been retained this year.

"We made some changes to the format last year, and we have stuck with that this year,” she said.

"We think it works well and it is a nice split across areas for businesses in town to enter for.”

There are two awards for each category, the judge's choice and people's choice which is decided by customers.

This year is the 21st annual hosting of the Dalby BEA.

The evening will begin at 5.30pm, Tuesday, with complimentary food and drink available. Tickets can be acquired at www.dalbytickets.com.au.
