QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Services crews are responding to reports of a bushfire burning near Yuleba Taroom Road, Yuleba North at 3pm.

It is reported that fire and emergency crews are on scene trying to extinguish a vegetation fire.

Smoke may be affecting the surrounding areas.

If affected, residents should close windows and doors and those suffering from a respiratory condition should keep their medications close by.

Smoke can decrease visibility, so motorists should drive with caution and to conditions if travelling in the area.

If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
