Burnt-out car linked to thefts
WARWICK police are appealing for information in relation to a string of robberies after a stolen car was found burnt out at Allan yesterday.
A 2005 Ford Fairmont was stolen from Ross St in Warwick between February 5 and 6, and was next seen driving away from the Wallace St United petrol station at about 1am on February 8, without the driver paying for fuel.
The car was then found by police burnt out on Rabbit Rd at Allan at about 9am, with a stolen cash register located in the backseat.
Police believe the car theft may also be linked to a break in at the Sandy Creek Pub before 7am the same day in which money, cigarettes and a cash register were stolen.
Investigations into the incident are continuing. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the car between February 5 and 8 can phone Warwick Police Station on 4660 4444 or Policelink on 131 444.
